Hans Beyermann erlernte zunächst den Beruf des Architekten, nach dem Krieg studierte er Malerei an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, heißt es in der Ankündigung des Kulturzentrums. Er war ein Künstler, der eine Vielzahl an Techniken beherrschte und immer wieder Neues ausprobierte: Er ätzte Kupfer- und Aluminiumplatten, bemalte großflächig Stahl-Email und gestaltete damit Fassaden. Für einige Kirchen in Berlin entwarf er Glasfenster, die er zum Teil auch selber ausführte.";
